In 1882, Father Michael J. McGivney saw firsthand the devastation to a family caused by the death of the breadwinner. From his vision, the Knights of Columbus Insurance program was created to provide financial security for its members and their families.  In the beginning, Venerable Father Michael J. McGivney and his fellow Knights “passed the hat” to benefit widows and orphans.  That humble beginning was the genesis for our modern day insurance company for Knights and their families.

The Knights of Columbus Insurance program is available to members of the Order and their families. Practical Catholic males, age 18 or older, are eligible to join.  Knights of Columbus offers life insurance, retirement income products, long-term care insurance and disability income insurance.
