Lenten Fish Frys
Every Friday night during the Lenten Season your local Knights of Columbus, Council 10390 from St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, serves hot, delicious, crispy and mouth-watering fried catfish dinners with our special homemade rice recipe that we’ve been making for years. The dinners also include cold slaw, green beans, bread, and a beverage (i.e., water, tea, coffee or lemonade).
Several years ago we implemented a drive-thru service for parishioners on the go that want to eat at home. If you wish to pick your orders up, you’ll find a warm and friendly Knights team greeting drive-thru customers on the Buffalo Speedway side parking lot, right behind the school cafeteria kitchen. If you’ve never given our fried catfish dinners a try, you’re missing a great deal and an even greater treat. Most parishioners that opt to give our catfish dinners a try, frequently come back week after week, year-after-year, during the Lenten Season.
We hope our Lenten Season Fish Fry becomes your family tradition. And your practical Catholic males that are not members of the Knights of Columbus, we invite you to observe the interaction and comradery of our Brother Knights when we are serving our fellow parishioners and working together to promote Fellowship in our Church community. If you are looking for a way to serve your Church and community with fellow Catholic brothers that are committed to faith, family, community and life, it’s hard to imagine a better way than becoming a Knight of Columbus. If you would like to join our council, please click the red “Join Us” button at the top of the page and complete an application form. Once you submit it, you’ll be contacted by our Grand Knight or Financial Secretary soon, usually within 48 hours.
