Bishop John L. Morkovsky KofC Council No. 10390

St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Houston, TX

Knights of Columbus Council 10390Knights of Columbus Council No. 10390 was founded in 1990 through the efforts of several male parishioners interested in Catholic brotherhood and desiring to build a Catholic men’s organization at Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. They recognized and understood the need to belong to a Catholic men’s organization that promotes fellowship with others who share similar beliefs, values, priorities and principles.

Bishop John L. MorkovskyOur council was named in honor of Bishop John L. Morkovsky of the Galveston-Houston Diocese. Bishop Morkovsky passed away not long before our council was founded. Council 10390 works closely with Saint Vincent de Paul Parish — providing funds for various projects, giving opportunities for council members to become more active participants in our church parish, contributing to the education of seminarians, etc.

Houston’s Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church is the home of Knights of Columbus Council No. 10390. Both are located at 6800 Buffalo Speedway near West University and the Texas Medical Center. Our council’s Grand Knight for the 2022- 2023 fraternal year is Gabriel Couriel. You can contact our council by phone at 832-263-3079 or by email at info@svdpkofc.org.

KofC Council 10390 has regular business meetings on the First Wednesday of each month. All church clergy, Council 10390 members and visiting Knights in good standing are invited to attend our monthly meetings. The general business meeting starts at 7:00 pm in the room across from first floor entrance to Monsignor Jamail Family Center. We also have a social meeting on the third Tuesday of every month where food and drink are available. All are welcome-you do not need to be a knight!

As a member of the Knights of Columbus you and your family enjoy many benefits, including 12 free issues annually of the Columbia magazine, the world’s largest Catholic family magazine, eligibility to join the Knights of Columbus top-ranked life insurance program, and many more family and personal benefits.

Our council offers male parishioners of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church an opportunity to enjoy brotherhood and fellowship with fellow parishioners that share common values and principles. We offer you the opportunity to participate in fundraising events like our Pancakes and Tacos Breakfast, our Lenten season Friday Night Fish Fry and our holiday tamales sale.

Each of these events provide you the opportunity to enjoy camaraderie with fellow Brother Knights, meet new church members and perform a duty to your church and Christ that is both rewarding and self-gratifying.

Membership in the Knights of Columbus is open to practicing Catholic men in union with the Holy See, who are at least 18 years old. A practicing Catholic is one who lives up to the Commandments of God and the precepts of the Church.  If you wish to join our council, please click the large red “Join Us” button near the top right side of this page, fill out and submit a simple form and you’ll be contact by our Grand Knight or Financial Secretary very soon.
